Moodie Black

I know GAHEDiNDIE has received some positive reception on this site, so I figured they should get their own thread. I just got a PM from K saying that the new album this year, N A U S E A, will include a track from a pretty big name.

N A U S E A should be released this fall hoping for September. Crazy news. The new album will have a track I just finished with DALEK. Hit up our facebook for updates.

Best New Thread 2012 :D

I just got Anthony Fantano (theneedledrop) into the collective on twitter. I will beg him to review the new album when it comes out, as well as Dead End Hip Hop.

Not going to mention the Dalek track unless that's okay?

Mentioning the Dalek track is ok, even recommended. Just don't mention the other thing related to them in my PM though, because it's not confirmed yet.

Bought for nothing too haha, I feel like an *******, but I wanna hear the album cause that track was ill and I have literally no money right now so eh.

Goofle 04-08-2012 01:04 PM

Like?

DoctorSoft 04-08-2012 01:44 PM

Very much so. The beats are hard as all hell.

I've generally found this 'noise rap' style to be unimpressive. It sounds decent initially, then you give it another go and there's nothing to it - it's hollow and dull. Death Grips and B L A C K I E have left me feeling like this. So far, GAHEDiNDIE is nothing different.

It all just seems like a fad.

I agree in essence, but the noises are ground braking with in the genre itself. They are creating a template that will later be perfected by a genius artist such as EL-P.

Ground breaking? Really? The likes of Dalek, Antipop Consortium, Infinite Lives, Saul Williams, Ice and Techno Animal have been making abrasive, dissonant hip hop for years. There is nothing ground breaking about it to me.
