2Pac was a far better songwriter and storyteller than Jay-Z was and is one of the best in Hip-Hop (posted links a few posts up.)

He might not have the flows or rhyming skills of Jay-Z but that's not enough, there are a ton of better rhymers than Jay-Z. At least Pac mastered his craft and made timeless music.

2Pacalypse isn't the same as All Eyez on Me, which isn't the same as Me Against the World, which isn't the same as 7 Day Theory. In fact the only ones that are similar are 2Pacalypse, Strictly 4 My Niggaz and Thug Life. 7 Day Theory is the polar opposite of Me Against the World. Likewise with 2Pacalypse and AEOM.

Come on man... they are pretty much the same. Listen to a 2pac compilation, it sounds like a cohesive album.

Of course it's my opinion. This is a conversation about personal taste.

I think Jay-Z is terrible so this line of argument isn't very likely to convince me that Tupac is any good.

If I were to rank the three, it'd be like: 2pac > Nas >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jay-Z

2pac could bang hard in one song and rap about something emotional and personally moving in the next. Not many rappers had his level of versatility.

This doesn't make sense. I don't like Radiohead but I can acknowledge they are a good band. I like ODB but I don't think he's a good rapper. There is some objective viewpoint in music and 2Pac isn't awful.

2Pacalypse - Political/observations about the black community
Strictly 4 My Niggaz - Pretty much the same as above
Me Against the World - Full of songs about his own emotions and personal experiences, this is more like a diary
All Eyez on Me - Partying and gangbanging
7 Day Theory - Gangbanging, beef and death

How does it not make sense to you? Aren't there any artists that you just think are terrible?
