Chance The Rapper

What do you guys think of his music? Its pretty different but I like it. I just got the 10 days mix tape and its pretty decent. Brain cells is probably one of the best songs on the mixtape

First thing I heard was "Good Ass Intro" a few months back, when he dropped it on djbooth. I really dig his style overall, but it can be really overbearing if you're not acclimated to his voice.

Just posted this to you on twitter, but never mind I'll let everyone else know my opinion.
It's actually a really good track. Bieber sounds like he's headed down the Timberlake route, it's a slickly produced and pretty catchy.

If this raises Chance's profile (which he deserves) then it's only a benefit to him. The guy deserves to get his name out and hopefully that leads to more people listening to Acid Rap and more quality material from him.

He actually doesn't need his profile risen more. He has been named rapper of the year by some magazine and he was 16th album over the year on Rolling Stones List. He is getting plenty of exposure on his own.

Yeah, but how many of Justin Bieber fans care about 'some magazine' and read the Rolling Stone? I doubt many do.
By doing a guest spot on a JB track, Chance is opening himself up to an entirely new market which is more likely to lead to his mainstream profile multiplying tenfold.

The some magazine I couldn't remember is actually Spin magazine. Also he's been featured on Childish Gambino's new album but I do see your point.

Ive always thought he would go this route and become more popular with the "music review" crowd. This bodes well for him to get his inevitable BNM from p4k in the next few years.

Yup, definitely will happen. His old gimmick of pre-teen heartthrob just was never going to last as he grew older and his voice/content changed.
The Timberlake/Usher route seems only natural. With the amount of producers and music heads working with Bieber it's not a far stretch of the imagination they'll drop a really good record down the line.

pitchfork is gonna turn on him i think. He was in town last night didn't bother but my friends said it was hype.

All i can think of with this dude is the big sean lyric "I be feeling like a grown ass little boy, niggeh nyan nyah nyah ne ne ne"

I'm surprised nobody in the media caught that.
