man, that title is so "alluring"...their lyrics must be really thoughtful and political....svashta...

Fenixpunk 06-20-2005 02:24 PM

well, they were nowhere near as political as Public Enemy, but NWA were one of the first to get people aware of alot of the social problems/racism/police brutality happening in the california ghettos during that time period.

CALiDyMePiEcE707 06-27-2005 09:38 AM

NWA's tiight, the way they brought themselves to spotlight was mad cool...and they acted like they're ontop of the world (which is good), to make a statement.

anticipation 06-27-2005 11:33 AM

NWA are great, i like Strait Outta Compton, Gangsta Gangsta and If It Aint Ruff

EDGE 07-09-2005 05:10 PM

Spike*Spiegel 07-10-2005 01:24 AM

hey thanks! im so glad i have the approval of someone so intellectually stimulating as yourself! i especially admire your signature, "whores rule!" i dont think i would ever be able to come up with anything close to the equivalence of your mindless drivel ...

EDGE 07-10-2005 01:58 AM

Why do you always have to start with me so late at night? Just curious, ma'am. I mean, c'mon. It's 4am over where I am. I don't feel the need to burn my last bit of energy battling with you. Does that sound honest enough? Alrighty then.

And must I say, your admiration for my "mindless drivel" is respected, hence I share the same as your "little brother's".

Spike*Spiegel 07-10-2005 02:09 AM

you should be proud to have the respect of an adolescent walking hormone.

EDGE 07-10-2005 02:13 AM

Gangsta rap is all 'bout bitches and money.

They need a reall topic worth rapping 'bout.

Spike*Spiegel 07-10-2005 01:33 PM

i like the way you think, buddy ^

Actually, Gangsta rap is more focused on violent lifestyles and inner-city problems of gangsters, street-thugs, and drug dealers. I think the majority of artists rapping only about 'bitches and money' are in different types of commercial rap, hip hop, or types of evolved gangsta rap.

Electric Ocean 07-11-2005 06:59 AM

Yeah, alot of NWA's stuff is about trying to highlight racism/brutality within the police force. I just used that as the title because it makes me laugh and anyway the actual line from that song is " To a kid looking up to me, life ain't nothin' but bitches and money" so he's not actually implying that himself anyway.

neckbreaker 07-11-2005 07:57 AM

NWA stuff is pretty good

NWA was pretty good, I listened to it alot in the late 80's, and enjoyed it, but I think Ice Cube's solo stuff was better quality. MC Ren also made a solo album, but it was pretty weak. I think it was called "kizz my black azz".
overall though, yeah they were pretty good.

anticipation 07-11-2005 08:40 AM

why do you guys have to pick apart at what everything means? NWA was a bunch of homies that were just tryin to survive in compton, like any gang.
