Blu

Just listened to his LP Jesus (which has production from Madlib and Alchemist) and thought it was pretty good. Looked him up and saw he has a pretty extensive discography. Anyone familiar with him have any recommendations?

I listened to NoYork. Which was pretty good although he was never an artist that piqued my interest in a way that I felt obligated to return to his work.
I know a few people on here are fans of his work with Exile.

Been meaning to give the whole release a listen. Like the songs you posted. Never really engaged me with his rapping, but I'll listen to just about anything madlib puts out

I have his album Open Letter but I only listened to it once and it didn't really stand out to me so I never went back for future re-listens.

I may do so over the weekend though.

He did a track with dilla when he was really young, and his album Below the heavens with exile is amazing. He was also in a group with Aloe Blacc called Emanon

I'll have to give him another chance I guess. I didn't really like the links above or the stuff with Exile.

He reminds me a lot of One Be Lo just not as witty or lyrical as Binary Star. Don't get me wrong I like um both. Both Kats started really young.
