Step Brothers

I'm new here but thought I would jump right in. I didn't see a thread about them so I figured I would make one.

Step Brothers is a west cost hip hop duo consisting of Evidence (Dilated Peoples) and The Alchemist. They recently dropped their new album Lord Steppington.

I think it was overall a decent album. The beats are amazing and fit with the vibe Evidence and The Alchemist cast. I also thought this album had a good set of featuring artists as well. (Domo Genesis& The Whooliganz. Styles P, Action Bronson, Roc Marciano etc) I did notice that The Alchemist had some silly lyrics on several songs that sort of distracted me from the track. However the project came to light after Evidence and The Alchemist watched the comedy movie Step Brothers so it makes sense why The Alchemist (who is a zany kind of dude to start with) had some silly lyrics.

Thoughts?

I really like Evidence's voice, however.

I also prefer Evidence over The Alchemist even though I preferred the stuff The Alchemist put out before this project more than what Evidence put out.

Evidence's solo stuff is really great though better than is given credit for especially his last album that had the song "You" on it.
