Young Thug
Seriously one of my favorite dudes not only in the mainstream rap game, not only in the rap game, but in life. In fucking life.
Rich Homie is such shit on that track, when isn't he though. the beat on that one is mean as hell anyway. That last one is pretty super A$AP though. |
smoke more weed than the guy in la
CHEEe
Actually he is pretty good. Maybe he should keep smoking that weed. It might continue his success.
he's versatile
He's like future but even more improvisational, he can lay it on thicker |

Yeah I agree entirely, like future ad Nikki minajs baby only in style tho. His lines can be pretty slick too, in a really dumb way sometimes but still has a unique twist on what he does. I think lil b or Wayne is where the actual rhymes take root.
Surell dropping the knowledge as always. Of the selected videos, I'm partial to the Old English joint.
yeah the only one i can't handle is lifestyle
it sounds like a parody its ridiculous it makes me smile |
See I love lifestyle, but all rich gang joints are definitely just the most ridiculous **** bird man thought was really hip ("tapout"). But I think THUGGAAAAAAs verses are pretty nice on there.
Oh I forgot one:
Selected Quotes: "Money stand like eight feet just like two midgets" "I got six cars and I also got rentals and all of 'em tinted" "I don't like using profanity but the Young Thugger will cut you" "I just want nut like Buddy" "Young nigga rich, jewelry colder than the attic" "I can't learn a bitch, but I learned mathematics" |
young thug
The man doing his thang
ICYMI this is one of the funniest things i have ever witnessed. "she fukk wit us cuz we look like we wiiiiiin" |
is this a troll thread or you guys really like young thug?

Hearing and understanding are two different things
I understand that when an emcee has ****ty flow and drowns his voice in poorly serialized auto tune over semi decent beats that their music just kind of sucks.
ok. say what you want but shitty flow? now you're just making things up. if thugger had just one things going for him, it'd be his flow. Idk what you consider good flow but if this isn't it i imagine it must be very plain jane.

But what's the appeal for you? I just don't get it dude. |
welp it might be that i just have bad taste. this is highly possible, and would not surprise me. however, I like a couple of good things so I think that voids that hypothesis at least slightly. if that is a possibility.
I think thugger, though he is an extremely ridiculous personality and represents a frivolous portion of rap (post-Wayne drugs n pun specialty), he does this exceedingly well. He can slide onto almost any beat and sound comfortable (there's "Olde English", "YRN", and "Stoner") and his lyrics, being about very dumb things or relying on silly non-sequitur and association, are still pretty clever. If you can bear just how silly they are. I mean, it's all really fun and games when you're listening to him, but I don't think that means he's got any less talent, just that he directs it toward things that are frivolous, which I understand if that's annoying. But yeah, especially for his flow, he has that rare gift like Gucci Mane (you'll probably disagree with me here too) to make whole verses catchy with his melodic cadence. Everything becomes a hook, and the hooks become subconscious anchors. |
young thug reads this forum, but he won't join because frownland intimidates him
See frownland, see now what you've done?
Guess he doesn't go all that hard now, does he?
well i never made that case so please take that snarky attitude up the hall to some one who can handle nonsense and other things i don't like.
you know what i never said i was very clever. |
zero ratings!
now tell me that flow isn't off the charts, Frownland
That track's a lot better than the five or six I've heard from him. I'll back off on the hating (a little).
Actually if you have the patience look up "the tour part one" by rich gang, I listened to the first half and really dug it, very laid back. I don't have time for rich homie qwan (well he's just ok, a little too just ok) but i still enjoyed it for what it was (which is how you have to approach this stuff to a degree).
