You do realize me using "hipster" and "pretentious" is just a way for me to poke at you, right (assuming you're not Frownland)? I know I've been using those terms for a long time, but it's just a quick and easy cultural association to invoke for fun. I definitely think there's an underground hip hop trend culture, but that exists in all forms of music. I don't like MF Doom, not because I think he's hipster or whatever, his flow is just like molasses to me. All the creative rhyme schemes in the world aren't going to make him any more exciting to me unless I get over that very basic aesthetic in his delivery.

Start calling him a millennial.

I mean, he's cool to listen to, and he's got some nice anger for when you're in that mood, but I doubt he's special to anyone who's not a conspiracy nut like Oojay. He does go hard as **** tho.

He has great songs that aren't about conspiracy theory or angry... He's definitely one of those artists where you have to be in the mood though.

I'm not gonna stab you or anything, but I disagree. Conspiracy sh*t or otherwise, I like him. His lyrical topics and content are obviously his biggest drawing points, but he has some great metaphors and similes as well. He adds in his old battle rap lines.

"I'm cursed like Cain when he murdered his brother. Cut your face off and wear it while I'm f*cking your mother."

Sh*t's brutal.

That line sucks though.

Ain't nobody got battle rap lines like Em.

I disagree. I'm fine to leave it at that. No need to go into the whole "But YOUR favorite rappers suck!" or "blah blah blah" lol.

That's a weird thing for a Nas fan to say.
