I first heard of him after he did his panda freestyle and then the song he did with Busta but this is pretty great based off of a true story.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 08-04-2017 06:41 AM

yeah that song is nice DJ. aside from that most of what ive heard from him has been pretty disappointing. he can rap fast but he never seems to be saying all that much.

I get that criticism if you have only listened to freestyles that he does over other people's songs.

He just goes in with the anger/speed stuff for entertainment.

He has material that is more than just bragging on freestyles saying not much of anything.

There is "I'm sorry" where he takes that similar story telling approach of talking from both sides of a situation. This situation is about the suicide of his friend. The friend's side and emotions vs his side and how he feels about him taking his life.

guy is an absolute animal. I think that he beat Kendrick on this cover...

Joyner Lucas is confident in naming his "favorite rapper."
Recently, Eminem's Kamikaze was certified platinum, proving that not even the digital age can stifle his momentum. And while Em has no shortage of platinum plaques decorating his walls, for Joyner Lucas, the milestone is a new experience. The "I Love" rapper recently tweeted out his gratitude for Marshall Mathers, after landing his first ever platinum plaque for their work on "Lucky You."

"Who would of knew My first platinum plaque would ironically come from my favorite rappers album?" writes Joyner, via Twitter. "@Eminem thank u." With "Lucky You" in the bag, let's see if their upcoming collaboration can follow suit; Joyner has already teased an Em feature on ADHD, which is said to follow in the footsteps of "Stan."

When it comes to GOAT discourse, Eminem's name is not always respected accordingly; some feel compelled to give him his props reluctantly neglecting to note his various contributions to the game. We've seen Em vent his frustrations on songs like "Fall," so its good to see new generation voices like Joyner Lucas put some respect on the legend's name.

Got into an argument with a friend over the word "n*gger."

I saw a video on Facebook of a white dude and a black dude arguing. The white guy was in his car, in the drivers seat. The black guy was outside shouting at him. The white guy rolled up his window to end the argument and the black dude kicked the window in, sending shattered glass into the face of the white guy, then proceeded to assault him. Then the white guy called him a n*gger.

I said that if a dude kicks in your window and assults you, you're well within your right to call him any damn thing you want to. My friend called me a racist.

He told me I need to listen to Joyner Lucas' song "I'm Not Racist." I told him that he needs to watch the music video for his song "Ross Capicchioni," where a black guy lures a white guy into an abandoned lot and shoots him with a shotgun as a gang innitiation.

He told me that black people don't do that; that only white supremacists do things like that. He watched the first half of the video, then refused to watch the rest, saying that it was bias against blacks and only represented a skewed view of the story, which was a true story.

Gee I wonder why he would say that.

So if someone assaults you, they don't have a verbal barrage coming their way, which may include racial slurs? I guess it would be better to just shoot them? I'd rather be called a n*gger than get shot.

If someone assaults me, I'm well within my right to call them whatever the f*ck I want.

Frownland 11-02-2018 09:36 PM

If that's your go to then that's a 95% chance of you being racist.

[MERIT] 11-02-2018 10:18 PM

What is your definition of "racist"?

No, be serious and use your words. Don't be afraid. What is your definition of a "racist"?

You [and people in general] don't like this question because it makes you [and them] self-reflect and analyze. And the possibility of being wrong or having to change is just too much for some people too handle. It's called COGNITIVE DISSONANCE, I'm sure you've used that term around here before.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but political correctness takes a backseat to reality when your life is at stake.

People who think lesser of another race. This can be reflected in a number of ways, from the KKK members lynching babies to avoiding black people without realizing it to casual microaggressions.

Cute rant though. You ought to try self-reflecting and analyzing your own opinions mate. You might realize why you're not taken very seriously around here.

Well, I had problem with the ACTIONS of the person who kicked in someone's car window [that's a sh*tty thing to do and an escalation of violence], not the color of his skin. Anyone who does that should be criticized, regardless of race or ethnicity. So maybe you shouldn't throw that word around so heftily

Frownland 11-02-2018 11:20 PM

Do you think that demanding the right to and justifying the use racial slurs solely as a way to hurt people is an indication of underlying prejudices?
