c'mon y'all - none of you know any of UB40's background??....
they are a racially mixed band from England who's core has been together for almost 30 years. I don't really care for the weak-ass covers they've done, but they did put out some really good roots based reggae over the years. The albums "Geoffrey Morgan" and "Rat In Mi Kitchen" are both stellar examples of UK reggae at it's finest. And the name "UB40" was (is?) the number of the English government unemployment form. Don't go hatin' if you don't know why.....

Pretty much everyone in England has been unable to escape the story of UB40's background, certainly anyone who lives in Birmingham hasn't. They go on about it all the bastard time for a start.

UB40 are excellent, They produced some great albums over the years. I've never been keen on the cover version albums like Labour of Love etc.

My top 3 Albums are:-

1. Signing Off

2. UB44

3. Present Arms

My Top 3 Singles are:-

1. Food for Thought

2. Dr X

3. My way of Thinking
