Andrew WK is Ska?
No offense but I didn't think he was Ska.
Though I guess the only song of his I ever heard was Party Hard.

Yeah, Andrew WK isn't really Ska, I just felt the need to mention him because whenI went to a Catch 22 show, he was mentioned in this free ska calendar as Skandrew WK. I just felt the need to mention him=) I love Andrew WK though.

Same here, word for word. God, I hate my town.

I think most of the people where i live have never heard of it. Its cool when i'll be listening to some ska and someone asks me "whoa what is that?" and they love it. Around where i live there are tons of kids supposedly into Rastafari music and think they know everything about the relgion (but thats a whole other subject) but they hear ska and can't beleive they have never heard it.

If they hate it, it's probably because they've only heard ska punk.

Probably. That seems to be the case with nearly every "ska fan" who has posted in this thread as well.

If we're talking 90s ska-punk, I think anyone could be fully justified in hating that. And goddamn Less Than Jake... as much I want to hate their music for being repetitive, puerile and generally annoying, I can't help but admire some of the basswork.
