Easy Star All Stars

great reggae/ska band that does cover albums, I've only had the luxury of listening to their rendition of Radiohead's OK Computer, it's awesome. definitely check it out and let me know other material they have.

Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread is some of the best reggae i've heard. In fact i prefer Dub Side to the original.

I love the Floyd album, but the OKCOMPUTER one just does'nt work for me. The songs are too disjointed to create that reggae groove.

Your welcome. The link for THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS makes up for it-they are awesome!

indeed, perhaps one of my favorite third wave ska bands.

I am loving Dub Side of the Moon. The original was pretty good but not really in my tastes. This version is quite good though and the groove makes the sweet slow tunes even more trippy.

They're releasing Easy Stars Lonely Dub Band on April 14th.

Oh shit yes.

This is going to be epic. I've only bothered myself to download the Radiodread covers but them tackling the Beatles is something I don't want to miss.

Their E.P Until That Day released last year features their own material and is bloody fantastic. LMK if anyone wants it. They are Easy Star All Stars not 'dub' stars.

From the E.P. Opening track:

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys for the first time with John Brown's Body opening up for them in San Luis Obispo, awesome show!!! Will be catching Easy Star there again soon!!

I'm off to see them next month as they are playing fairly locally. Looking forward to a great night of Reggae jams.

I didn't know they did a version of OK Computer. I've only got Dub Side Of the Moon, and while I'm not the biggest Radiohead fan, I'd like to see how their music transcribes into reggae.

They opened the sunday at Glasto and i thought that would be a brilliant way to start the day if they played Sgt Peppers full through, which i'm guessing they did. Envious for sure.

I'm not crazy about Radiohead either... but the Easy Star version is a must-hear.

I personally don't like the OK computer version but DSOTM is excellent. Their EP full of original tracks from last year was damn good too.

Picked up Lonely Hearts Club quite recently. Massive fan of the guys. First heard Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds from a friend, first real experience was seeing them at the Park Stage of Glasto where they opened with Beat It (tasteful tip of the hat to Jacko) and though my memory of the weekend as a whole remains sketchy I think it was Beatles that they played for that set. Was incredibly good, excellent reggae retake on classic songs.

Love them. I don't think I like Dub Side better than the original, but it's definitely an epic album. As for Lonely Hearts ... I don't feel like I've given it a proper listen, but I have heard it and love it so far.

Radiodread is quite adorable to listen to.
