Post Madlib VS Reggae

This one has probably been mentioned here, but I would like to bring it up for newbies and verterans a like. The rapper/producer/DJ Madlib released a reggae compilation mix called "Blunted in the Bomb Shelter" in I want to say 2001. It is an epic collection or mix of 45 reggae songs. I really love this record, a lot of the artists on it are fairly unknown (it doesn't contain any Bob). I hope someone who hasn't heard much reggae picks it up. Comments on it from people who are on the level are appreciated. Stay irie

I've been looking for a way to buy that album for a while now -- the idea of Madlib + Trojan records makes me salivate. I read somewhere that Madlib locked himself away for 2 or 3 days with nothing but vintage reggae records and weed. I'm not sure if this was a good or bad idea yet but I need to hear the results.

I seem to have lost track of mine but I found it on some blog without too much trouble. I don't think I'll bother with it anymore though. It's kinda boring and it made me want to just listen to the original songs.

Sounds interesting.

Is it just the highlights and best bits of each song joined together to form 1 continuous track?

It is in the Madlib Discography on TPB. (new here, can we post links to torrents? If not, I will remove ASAP)

Nice.

And eehhhhhhh, if you are GOING to do torrent stuff, you probably wanna do it offsite or in a PM, so Google doesn't pick it up. Just sayin'

So I found this at cheapo a while ago.

It's certainly serviceable. It's a pretty neat madlib fanboy souvenir, but it really isn't all that enticing to listen to.

I haven't listened to much real reggae so it's a great appetizer. Need to check out this man winston blake as well as a lot of others on here.

@madlib

Let me draw your next cover art dude, ferreal i can draw better than this **** and i realize its minimalist or w/e but it sucks
