The Marleys

Although always a fan of Bobs, I have recently been introduced to Damian and Stephen, and I have to say. Hot damn these boys can make music their pappy would be proud of.

Welcome to Jamrock is a musical work of gritty earthiness. The flow and ebb of the album is going to put Jr. Gong on the world maps.

Welcome To Jamrock is a great track but there is more to Reggae than the name marley.

That was definitely a great album but if it was going to put him on world maps I would think it would've done so a couple years ago when it came out.

It's not just that track though, that whole album is great. If you haven't heard it, it's really worth a listen.

If you like Bob, then you'd like his son Ziggy. Ziggy is probably the only one that really resembles Bob in his music.

I have had the album a couple of years and really like some of it but there is some awful RnB tinged tunes that spoil it for me.

I like the whole album except for that song "Beautiful" with Bobby Brown which I agree is a giant slice of awful R&B tinged cheese. The only other song I don't particularly care for is "For the Babies" but only because the lyrics kind of annoy me. I think the rest of the album is great. The songs "Confrontation", "The Master Has Come Back", "All Night", "Move!", "In Too Deep" and of course "Welcome To Jamrock" are all real standout tracks for me.

I feel it is more of a grower album than an instant success.

I still need to grab a bunch of Ziggy and Julians music as well.

Prolificly talented clan...
