If you can find a good copy Burning Spear Gold (2-CD set) is a great survey of the group’s evolution. I was hoping to find a digital edition but I may just make a Spotify composite of the track list. Looks like the discs are permanently out of print.

Nice selections. Locomondo sounds like Zydeco stuff to me. First time hearing Brother Culture.

Reggae

Jamaica is so unique. So much musical genre has come out of her, eg... Reggae, Ska, Rock Steady, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Afrobeat. I'm proud to be a Jamaican. I am recommending a Roots Reggae band called Tonahope, and their latest single called Self Love...

Its clear that Brother Culture has been operating outside of Jamaica. Because it is the first time I'm hearing this song called "Jump up pon it". The kick drum is going at almost a trance beat. This reggae sound is beautiful. I'm impressed, and so it the fans who have given the video 10.8 million views, 81k likes, and 394 comments. Impressive.

WD Alzain & The SanRise's AlHagega, is a soulful rendition of reggae music, of message music. The type of music that the forebearers like Bob Marley was famous for. I love this.

Vibrações - Olhos Verdes

I dont understand the words, but Vibrações' reggae sounds genuine. Gone are the days when we could tell when a reggae instrumental was not Jamaican, because back in the days whenever foreigners played it, you could tell. The sound is now universal.
