More Noises and Other Disturbances is one of my all time favourite 3rd Wave Ska albums and one of the best examples full stop of the genre.

I saw them in August, they put on an excellent live show! I wouldn't call myself a big fan, but I enjoy them quite a bit.

I used to follow them around like a lost puppy dog a long... long time ago. Their shows have always been really explosive and high energy. Yeah, More Noise... was pretty much the apex, but I did like Skacore... and Don't Know How to Party a lot too. I was watching some Sesame Street with my daughter a couple years ago and managed to catch this video. She loves it, which makes me pretty happy.

Growing up where I did, they were always on the radio. I hated them. They were too happy, our high school marching band played them. Its something I never could get over.

Then the years went by and I'd forgotten about them and when I came across them again I had a new appreciation.

Maybe it was all the memories about the vanishing daylight around city corners, or Nic Carter, or how shows felt when I was a kid hitting up Lupos or Paradise but I grew to love them. Its sad they only do a reunion show once a year, but we all get old then, don't we?
