It can be a very cheesy sub genre of Reggae so it is expected to have no replies but those of a little older persuasion who like their 80's Pop may well like some of these tracks as well as Soul fans. Nothing earth shattering but I like 'em.

i really don't like this sub-genre at all

i already find reggae to be pretty monotonous but this stuff justs puts me to sleep

I know nothing about Reggae or this sub genre. I'm just wondering if the Clash track on London Calling called Lover's Rock is in reference to this. I know they do love some good reggae so it wouldn't surprise me.

The Clash's Lover's Rock is a 1,000,000x more interesting than what is "Lover's Rock"

think Maxi Priest

Nothing like a silky voice delivering a sappy love song. I am a sucker for it.

I'm much more into roots and dub, but I invested in one of these last month....
