Rasta Man Vibration
Anyone heard these 70s reggae albums. If so how would you rate them?
Prince Fari - Under Heavy Manners Bob Marley - Catch a Fire Misty in Roots - Musi o Tunya |
As Ive already stated in the 'what are you listening to right now' section, my knowledge of reggae is pretty limited (barring the obvious i.e. Bob Marley etc).
Apart from a couple of cds a mate did ages ago, my reggae collection is pitiful. Dezzy, one of the tracks Ive heard (Heavy Manners) is superb. Is it off the album 'Under Heavy Manners' and if so what's the rest of it like. Ha, get me! Your asking others to rate these albums and Ive turned it round back to you...sorry mate. Any other reccomendations will be appreciated (love big booming bass lines...) :) |

Yeah in response Heavy Manners is taken from Under Heavy Manners LP & as you love big boooming bass lines this album would appeal to you. The bass is really heavy throughout. The tunes I favour on Prince Fari's album are :- Show me my Enemy, Boz Rock, & Deck of Cards. I think these titles are correct from memory. If you like bass in reggae/dub style check out dub masters, King Tubby, Scientist, a tune called Drum song, a bside credited to Ken Boothe. Some nice bassie reggae I like is Barrington Levy, The Gladiators, and also Augustus Pablo. Loads of others. So many. Peace & happinessssssss.:) |
And about time too...sounds like you've been busy, what with work/shagged pc/chicken??/and tree climbing???...you were sectioned really...c'mon admit it!
Ta for the reccomendations. Peace & happinessssssss to you also :) |

Yeah mate sorry. I lied about the tree climbing though. I wanted to sound like I am like a warrior that fights for good things, ie, saving the tree. |
