Mundell Hugh Mundell (1982, Greensleeves) Don't know about replacing this one in my disc collection. Not at the goin rate. Might luck up and find a copy at a garage sale. Lots of them these days. Good to hear again. |

Album of the day is one of the earliest dub lps - and a classic. Been looking for a great Augustus Pablo upload on The Tube (easy access for everybody - and if you’re feeling dub there was nobody better, imo) but Keith Hudson’s 1974 Pick A Dub fits a minimalist mood (minus the sanctified vibe of Pablo). It’s a loose, laid back nothing session with Hudson foolin and groovin for the hell of it. |
The group, One World, disintegrated soon after dropping the album from which this track came.
A Nigerian mostly African Pop band turned toward roots reggae on Mama and Papa. I found Night and Work irresistible. |
