Default Best bands that were big in the 90's

In my opinion, these were the best rock bands during the 90's.

By the way I pick The Smashing Pumpkins for Corgan's creativity and Chamberlin's drumming tactics.

Kurt f***ing Cobain. I mean some might say, Nirvana was overrated, but I love the gift they gave to me. I dunno how I would feel without songs like "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", "Heartshaped Box", "About A Girl", "Lithium" and "Where Did You Sleep Last Night"...

Im afraid Im going to have to do what will be seen as the "trendy" thing to do, and pick Nirvana. For so many reasons. I love em to bits and they deserve every last bit of the credit they get. If I hear any "over-rated" comments, Ill say what I always say, and tell you that along with great fucking songwriting skills, they were also about the impact they made.

Ok Ill hush.. But you get the point. I vote Nirvana.

The 2 bands that saved the UK from having to spend 10 years listening to grunge like they did in the US

Yeah, I wondered about that too...

OASIS AND THE STONE ROSES!!!

If it weren't for them, the 90's would have been crap...
I mean, they're not the only ones, but they're a very important part of the 90's Brit Pop scene... I mean The Stone Roses kinda invented Brit Pop and Oasis followed. Thank god they did. Otherwise The Beatles might be dead...
