I met Alice Cooper last March, and in a Q&A session, he said Rob Zombie was one of his favorite guys to jam with.

I searched and didnt find a thread for White Zombie..but this will do.

When my musical taste was evaluated..a comment was made when I said White Zombie..the comment was "makes better movies then music" well Rob Zombie might be known for that..but White Zoombie never made movies..and though the sounds of Rob and White are similiar..they are different in..cause I like White Zombie but Rob kinda holds back..and I have thing about bands being named after their front man...its kinda cheesy and lacks any creativity...not that White Zombie was a genius term...

I like it cause its hard..

I don't see how you "can't" like Rob Zombie. He's crazy. Even his new stuff is killer. I LOVE him, even back in the White Zombie days!!

When La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1 was out, I absolutely loved it. I loved the horror movie soundtrack feel of it, the chunky riffs and basslines, the vocals, everything. It just rocked my world at the time. When Astro-Creep came out, however, I was pretty disappointed. It was ok but lacked the rawness of La Sexorcisto, or the riffs just weren't as good, I don't know. Something was missing. It could just be that La Sexorcisto was new and different to me, maybe I had never heard anything like it. but by the time the second album came out, it didn't seem so fresh and didn't offer anything better than what was on La Sexorcisto. I haven't paid attention to any of his work since.

p.s. By the time Rob Zombie went solo the gimmick was already played out.

I'm not gonna lie, I love me some White/Rob Zombie. Past, Present, and Future is a bomb compilation.

I think Rob Zombie is great, the earlier White Zombie stuff is also good, but the music is a bit of a Ministry substitute.
But a very talanted man!
