Any one like those? Dimmu Borgir? Children of Bodom? Any takes? I want to know who is into this stuff.

Children of Bodom is my favorite band. A few more of my favorites are In Flames, Suidakra, Nightrage, Immortal, Opeth, Arcturus, Iced Earth, and Soilwork.

Do they sound like the ones I like? If they are similar then I should download them or get to know of them. Are they black metal? Other than Children of Bodom, do you know the other bands listed? Later

Good stuff, my two favorite bands are bodom and enemy. I also like sinergy, dark tranquility, helloween, evergrey, symphony x, nevermore.

nice. Melodic Metal and Power metal sound like what? Power I guess is just really hardcore but Melodic I would of thought goes with Black Metal?

Fun. I like most of the bands mentioned. Arch Enemy is great, as is Opeth, Emperor, Iced Earth, etc.
I can never keep all the sub genres straight. I have no idea what makes Death Metal melodic, but it's good stuff.

All of you who like melodic death need to check out Arghoslent. They're not melodic death in the Gothenburg sense, but they've released one of the best melodic death albums I've ever heard (Incorrigible Bigotry).

i just say Killswitch Engage and In Flames in NYC couple weeks ago. In Flames is definatly my favorite metal band including Killswitch Engage. I'm also a fan of Lamb of God, Scars of Tomorrow, Norma Jean, Nora, Demon Hunter, Haste the Day...many more...

Iced Earth, In Flames, At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Soilwork, Darkane are all insanely talented. In Flames is my 3rd fav band. I have Whoracle, Colony, Reroute To Remain, The Tokyo Showdown, and Soundtrack To Your Escape. I <3 them lol.

Arch enemy, In flames, Soilent green, Goatwhore ;) and erm... *mwuahaha* Anal ****, I think they're really funny. (Easy E got AID's from Freddy Mercury)

Out of all of the bands you listed only two bands we're good..Immortal and Emperor..and if you ***s only heard Immortal's Son's of The Northern Darkness, then I feel sorry for you guys...You shouldnt listen to BM..

For anyone interested in bands like Emperor and Burzum and the other Scandinavian metal bands of the same era, I'd recommend this incredibly fascinating book. I'm not much of a fan of that type of music, but it's a wonderful insight into the history and the personality of the music.

I really don't care for Frost being in 1349..I think Satyricon is a joke now..

is the new Mayhem album worth picking up? i just found Deathcrush and De Mysteriis in my room and have been listening to them quite a bit..

The new Mayhem sucks..everything with the new singer Maniac is horrible..Just stick with the old stuff that has Dead and Euronymous in it..

....It's all about the TRUE Mayhem....
