well in there mix, it has never been the thing they pushed, djenty stuffs and modern metal do grant a big place for slapping basses though :)

Norg 06-30-2021 03:55 PM

Now that fieldy is gone i wonder what bassist they will bring in ..?????

if they start writing another album or maybe they just bring in nobody ...JD and Munky could prob write the bass lines

I think Korn should leave the rocking and nu-metal behind and make a boppin' house album.

a bop house album ..???? they did a Dubstep album ..??? but yeah

speaking of what happed to dubstep has that style went back underground..??? seems like it

anywho i agree korn needs to change there style agian ..but with head and munk back i think anything they do now will always be Heavy guitar driven

to be fair, Fieldy isn't fully gone. he's apparently just taking a temporary hiatus from the band.

Norg 07-12-2021 05:44 PM

yeah

good choice tho Suicuide tendencies bassist

Maajo 07-13-2021 08:15 AM

I haven't really listened to The Nothing much, I did a casual listen once like a year ago or so but that was really it and I didn't take much away from it other than that it sounded like standard Korn nu metal, I should probably give it another couple of listens so that it sticks but I basically have no opinion on it. I liked "The Serenity of Suffering" a fair bit though, not gonna lie. "Rotting In Vain" was their best single in at least 20 years and most of the rest of it was decent. I know a lot of people hated it, but I've always liked classic nu metal era Korn and that's what it sounded like.

Norg 07-13-2021 05:56 PM

the nothing takes a few spins to digest esp starting off with COLD which is a very weird song from korn the time structures are like something u would hear from like 1993 alt rock bank :P

infact all the songs have some little things that are different

the intro and outro are kinda like 0_o because JD be Sad n crying

If I'm being honest, while devastating, the Trump win did allow me to watch people I find intolerable to suffer immensely. Life's about making lemonade when life hands you a national tragedy.

Got The Life
It's On
Blind
Twist/Chi
Shoot and Ladders
Ball Tongue
Rotting In Vain
Here To Stay
Falling Away From Me

Not in any order. If I had to pick one as my favorite it'd probably be Blind.

I suppose not. That sounds pretty metal.

The Batlord 02-05-2022 01:02 AM

Men who probably have grandchildren and colonoscopies named an album "The Nothing"?

Tristan_Geoff 02-05-2022 09:57 PM

If you're actually interested, just give the whole thing a spin. It's a little over 30 minutes.

Queen Boo 02-06-2022 03:53 AM

A have a friend who once said KoRn were the Bauhaus of metal and I just wanted to bring that up because I know it will make somebody mad.

I would go as far to say that Life is Peachy is their most adventurous and creative output

I think his reasoning was their combination of goth and funk influences or something like that.

Norg 03-08-2022 06:54 PM

its the dreadlocks on white guys ....

how does this hair effect the entire music output of korn ..????? it must be the dreadlocks ..????

Norg 01-17-2024 10:05 PM

Bumpith KORN is so good :P they just keep rolling JD said he wants to do 20 albums :P

LivingDead_ 01-21-2024 12:40 PM

I saw them once, back in the day. They were pretty good, liked their rhythms. I'm not into metal at all. Korn and Deftones are the only metal bands I could tolerate. They're both decent.
