Default Darkthrone's new Album "The Cult is Alive"

said to be released early 2006 Darkthrones 12th album The Cult is Alive and the first on their return to peaceville has taken first priority on my wanted list.

The band being the forefathers of the second wave of Black Metal and their influence on the metal underground has been immense to say the least. I own (Soulside Journey, Goatlord, A Blaze in the Northern Sky, Under a Funeral Moon, Transilvanian Hunger, Panzerfaust, Total Death, Ravishing Grimness, Plaguewielder, Hate Them, Sardonic Wrath and Preparing for War) and i am anticipating adding The Cult is Alive to that list.

Songs planned to appear on the new album include: Too Old Too Cold, Graveyard Slut, and Cult of Goliath.

Sardonic Wrath is the only one I sorta got into. I didn't bother with the most of the old stuff. the quality is just abysmal.

Heheh that Abysmal Quality acts in its Favor to my ears

Sardonic Wrath was a little more approachable than there previous stuff as it fused quite a few elements into it such as Punk and more Doomier parts. Hate is the Law and Rawness Obsolete would be good Examples, but they still maintained their primitiveness which can work eitherway, i like it.
