Are you talking about Nick and Ryan and Kyles band?

mosesandtherubberducky 12-10-2005 09:57 AM

Yeah, but it was Nick, me and Jobe before it was Kyle and Ryan. IMO they don't work well together. None of them have a common ground to start from and Nick thinks that being grunge is the greatest. But he can't write good lyrics. They were described to me as Chevelle, Nirvana, and I think Atrayu mixed into one with a screaming singer.

we have never covered a nirvana song, and have no interest in ever doing so.

Once classes start again and I'm back at school, a few of my friends and I are going to start a band a lot like the second emo wave (Indian Summer, Moss Icon), and add in some newer emo elements. We just need a drummer :(. I'm vocals. On the side, I do solo acoustic music, sometimes my piano major friend accompanies me.

Two of the guys (guitar and bass) are doing garageband stuff right now.

i've been in a band off and on for the past.. 5 years or so. it all started out with just me on guitar and my buddy reid playing drums. then we met adam who plays bass, and one day he brought out keith who also plays guitar (and is now our lead vocalist). then we went through a couple singers, we started out playing korn and slipknot and **** like that (mind you this was in 1999) then we got into punk rock rock, then hardcore punk rock, and its slowly been getting heavier and more metal ever since then. keith is just our leav vocalist now, and pierre is our second guitar player. we've gone through 3 drummers as well. started with reid, he went to exchange school in turkey for a year so he was out, then we got jimmy, and after a year with him and only writing 2 new songs, we broke up for a few months. then we got back together with another drummer, cam, who was the best drummer by far, but he was a pompous ****, so we're back to jimmy as of last night. damn that a was a good practice. right now i'd call us a melodic hardcore band with metal overtones... not quite metalcore though, simply because i don't want to be classified as metalcore. the biggest show we ever played was opening up for not by choice when they came to chatham. our styles didnt mix too well, but hanging out after the show they told us we're one of the most talented band they've ever seen for people our age (me being the oldest at 18). thats me story, yeeeup. reckon.
