The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix because they made a name on their own. They didn't need someone else to pave the way for them, and they dared to experiment with something new

i'd have to say the beatles, but led's zepellin "stareway to heaven " has been voted the best rock balad ever; still pink floyd really had some words to say...

i have a couple that i couldnt choose exactly one from...

Guns N' Roses- they were a symbol of rock n' roll and their music was awesome
Jimi Hendrix- the way he revolutionized the guitar
Led Zeppelin- jimmy page and co. wrote unbelievable music that will always be remembered
Queen- had a great singer and awesome guitar. they were overall great

Ramones for shizzle. They started a whole different genre of music. Why does everyone has such a hard on for the beatles and Led Zepplin. Not my cup a tea.
