I have MP3's of all bolded bands of these bands and several hundred others that are not listed. PM me and we'll set up some sort of file sharing. Any question regarding this FAQ and any suggestions to bands and/or descriptions should be PMed to myself. Do not ask anyone else.

I decided to open this since no one was PMing suggestions. that could be a good thing, but i mean someone has to have something to add.

Judge isn't hardcore metal. That's about all I have to add. Good job.

OMG RAR. I love you, like actually, I want to make your sweet children.

What an awesome thread.

Ok one thing I have to say, because it's annoying me, and I'm pedantic. It's Dream Theater, not Dream Theatre. It might make a difference for people who don't know the band.

korn is not numetal, sorry but no, i consider korn to be heavy, heavy funkcore. yeah, its a genre, what of it? and where's pantera under thrash metal! but all in all a damn good summary of everything there is to know about metal. well done gents.

"Black Metal

While Venom is credited with coining the term “Black Metal” (from their 1982 release of the same name) it is Mayhem and Bathory who gave it its distinct sound. Muddled, murky recording quality, fast paced scratchy guitar riffs, high screamed vocals that are usually barely heard and never understood, and pounding over bearing drums are the key in creating a Black Metal sound. The lyrical themes usually deal with Satanism, death, and even Fascism (in the case of Burzum)

Examples: Darkthrone, Bathory, Immortal, Negator, Emperor, old Satyricon, Mayhem."

You forgot about Celtic Frost, eventhough they did not have the high-ish vocals, they still added to Bm, as one of the influences. (if this dont make sense, its cuase im drunkish)

They are very influential. I'll consider adding them. Granted I'll have to make sure i specify old Celtic Frost. Their middle era stuff was the suck.

Unearth aren't that great compared to other metalcore acts that got on there, and aren't that good of an example.
