Deja Entendu

So i've been re-getting into brand new and think its one of the best records i've ever heard the blend of acoustics and eletric is amazing, the lyrics are very well thought out and jesse has an awesome voice. sic transit gloria has one of the best basslines ever and the quiet things that no one ever knows has very well thought out lyrics and an amazing voice. Ok i believe you but my tommy gun don't is just a kick ass long lyrically and jesse voices is just amazing. Guernica also has some great lyrics and some amazing song lines. Play crack the sky is one of the best acoustic songs ever.

*waits to get flamed*

S'a very good album, agreed. He's always had his lyrics down really well, and if you havent heard the album too much, its always amazing to listen to. I just got tired of it a whole lot quicker than I did YFW, its too easy to outplay.. Still, Guernica is probably one of my favourite songs *is lame*.

Guernica has some awesome lyrics in it.
''If i could i would shrink myself, sink through your skin to your bloodcells, remove whatever makes you hurt, but i am too weak to be your cure''

I like Brand New lots.
I used to like them more, but i've been listening to them abit recently. Yes.

& Ok, I believe you...is an awesome song.
& Sic transit gloria is good too & has some awesome lyrics.

Off that album, i also like 'the boy who blocked his own shot'

Yes.

I love Brand New..

Soco Amaretto Lime is my favorite on Your Favorite Weapon..
Their lyrics are so pretty.. And the vocals are so good as well.

your favorite weapon is so better!

sleepy jack 12-31-2005 03:26 PM

Your favorite weapon was generic and like a bunch of albums out at the time, it only had a few decent songs (soco amaretto lime being one of them).

ArtistInTheAmbulance 12-31-2005 03:55 PM

...I liked YFW :( A lot. In the long run i prefer it to deja entunenu (sssh, rum) cause that one is so much easier outplayed. YFW you can listen to it again and again. And its not uber depressing.

sleepy jack 12-31-2005 03:58 PM

Yes, but YFW isn't amazing or creative as to deja entendu which is, in all honesty YFW is a generic taking back sunday sounding album, by decent i meant creative, my bad. Still a fairly solid album.

I like the song that has the lyrics "up the stairs the (station?) where, the act becomes the art of growing up"

WTF is the name of that song anyway?

sleepy jack 12-31-2005 04:37 PM

Sic Transit Gloria Glory Fades?
With the double whisper vocals on the verses and the very noticeable bassline?
