Default Hung, Drawn And Quartered

So I've found this band called High On Fire. A cross breed of sorts between black and thrash metal. This power-trio come from San Francisco, USA.

Now if you like Venom, especially Motorhead, and enjoy Slayer in any form you'll love these guys. They're heavier then Motorhead with the same theme or style of music, and a bit like Slayer in the vocals department.

Matt Pike is on guitar and vocals, some of you may know him from the band Sleep. They've been together since 1998 and are still currently active.

Songs to look for:
Cometh Down Hessian
Hung, Drawn and Quartered
Devilution
Surrounded By Thieves.

I know Limewire has some of their stuff so you can do some downloading there, in the meantime...

Good band. Surronded By Theives and Blessed Black Wings are very good albums. Sludgy/Stoner rock. HIT IT!

Ok so I searched but couldn't find another thread on these guys? Merge me if I'm blind.

Anyway, I got a chance to see them live a week ago, seems someone told them about New Zealand haha, and they were incredible, fucking incredible.

I'm bumping the thread, wondering if anyone has been listening to their latest effort, which is easily a shoe-in for one of the years best no matter whats to come, Snakes for the Divine?
