my old band's recordings.

ok, so i found an old recording of my old band Searchlights Like Fire

we made this almost a year and a half ago...

www.myspace.com/searchlightslikefire

yep. i'm the vocalist and it sounds so crackly...gross! but still, it's not a bad listen.

riseagainstrocks 02-07-2006 03:04 PM

wow, it really sounds crackly....

that's what we get for recording in a garage with a kareoke (sp?) mic

explosions-in-my-pants 02-07-2006 03:19 PM

thats a little to screamy/and or crackly (whatever you want to call it) for my taste... interesting tho for some reason i never expected that voice..

DontRunMeOver 02-07-2006 04:18 PM

It sounds a lot like you're choking on something. Sing from the stomach dude! Let people hear the words! Like the music and the vocal rhythm.

I've just found music from my old band, want me sendee?

EDIT: This thread has been viewed 22 times, that had better mean 22 people have gone to RAR's myspace and downloaded the song., if not why on earth are you reading a music forum?

EDIT 2: Sing from the the throat and you'll sound like you have choked.
Use the diagphragm and into their ears it will ram.

hmm....well. not too bad. but the soud quality is crap. is that how you normally sound when you scream or is that just because of the mic?

and i take it by "old band", that you arent together anymore?

riseagainstrocks 02-07-2006 07:15 PM

1. I actually have started from deeper down in the diaphragm, dontrunmeover, so it's already better.

2. i sound much cleaner in real life, that recording is total crap, it's more nostalgia than anything

3. and yep not a band anymore.

No offense, but I really hope your screaming has improved and the sound record pretty much ruins the whole thing.
