I didn't see your post so I didn't listen to Lento until just now (just some videos). Pretty good - definitely old-school Isis. Are they instrumental always? If so, Pelican should be very very jealous

Yep, they're always instrumental as far as I know. They also did an album with Ufomammut which does have vocals and which is absolutely amazing.

I quite like Pelican's records, although I'm not a huge fan... but they were SO boring live when I saw them. Same can be said of Jesu, really (although I like their records a lot more than I like Pelican's).

OMG THIS WAS REALLY HELPFUL! I LOVE METAL MUSIC! BUT I DISCOVERED MY LOVE FOR IT not such a long time ago and i was really interested in finding out some grate stuff and grate artist!

I also thought Pelican put on a really terrible/boring show. I was actually a little embarrassed for them -and the audience- when they would rock out to the brief metal interludes in their generic post-rock songs.

That's disappointing about Jesu and I can see them being a dull live act. But I'd still definitely see them play if I got the chance.
