Nice. Those are really superb albums
I rank Cult of Luna higher because I just prefer their stuff more. Neurosis is awesome though.
ps. If you like Neurosis and Cult of Luna you might like Callisto. They are a great finnish post-metal band.

Callisto - In Session

Callisto - Wormwood

No, I don't think so. I only have Erode the Person.

I haven't but I think I want to. The only bands on Janszoon's list that I even know are Sons of Otis, Electric Wizard, and Iron Monkey. Should I be excited about these other bands? ( I trust both of your metal tastes' so lemme know)

I think they're pretty good (surprise, surprise). I don't really know what you like when it comes to metal but if you like like Sons of Otis you'd probably dig Warhorse and if you like Iron Monkey you'd probably like Noothgrush. I'd also very highly recommend Ufomammut. They're definitely one of the bands I've been digging the most lately.

Also, totally off topic, but have I mentioned that I think you have probably the best avatar in the world?

Edit: And if you like stuff like Pelican and Isis, Lento is definitely also worth a listen.

I listen to a lot more melodic death metal. That's about it.

I dont agree with this at all. Why do you say their newer fans only listen to them for these reasons? How can you possibly know that?

And without that, all you've said is they have two types of fans. The older fans and the newer fans, which goes without saying.

that's how I feel about Tool.

My metal list:

(in no particualr order)

Motley Crue
Metallica
Megadeth
Anthrax
Faith No More
Pantera
Down
Marilyn Manson
Black Sabbath
Guns N Roses

though, to be fair, I consider Motley, Sabbath, GN'R, and Down to be blues bands that play heavy, but for the purposes of this list...
