Default Judas Priest Vs. Iron Maiden

I've looked around and can't seem to find a thread like this already made.

like with MetallicaVs. Iron Maiden thread i thought this one would be better because both these bands were up there and the best in Metal history. Anyways with Metallica Vr. Iron Maiden its harder to choose cause there two different type of metal.. but Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest are a lot alike.. at least to me.

Which band is better, and why?
Bring up there rights and wrongs thrughout the years with the band.

Judas Priest. I can't say much about them because I'm not that fanatical but I do personally rate their music above Iron Maidens. Screaming For Vengeance kicks so much arse.

Both bands are great, but I'm a Maiden man (my fav metal band). If I was to comparatively analyse the two...

Vocals = Iron Maiden
Rob Halford is quite the awesome singer, but ****inson is probably my fav singer ever. He has everything. And Paul Di'Anno is good too...

Guitarwork = Both
Both sets of guitarists are awesome, and I can't really give it to either one. I probably prefer Maiden's, but I'll let it slide.

Basswork = Iron Maiden
Well, Steve Harris is the man. No competition here.

Drums = Both
I don't know much about drums. From what I've heard of Priest, the only special drummer they had was Scott Travis. Nicko McBrain is a good drummer too.

Lyrics = Iron Maiden
Sometimes Priest's lyrics can be pretty crap. And Maiden has some great lyrics.

Overall, I prefer Maiden.

i agree to that. Judas Priest seem to well some times write the same songs over and over.. and some just have little depth to them.

I'm going with Judas Priest, i listen to them more, and enjoy there music more. I am a big fan of both fans.. but i listen to a few Iron Maiden songs and my ears get annoyed, but i can listen to Judas Priest, Metal Works forever and love it.. want more haha..

Both bands are a bit on the lame side, but I went for Maiden, gotta love "Hallowed be thy Name."
