I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

this may sound weird to some, but STP is one of my favorite bands from the 90s

@sidewinder - be happy you didn't know about that 5th album until now.

@antonio - STP was a good band - in the 90s. but that was 2 decades ago. i'll always defend Purple and Tiny Music as examples of great alt-rock from those years. here's my big beef with them though, back in the 90s when they were relevant no one (including them) wanted to be told what was hip by some middle aged has-beens... so why do they think people want to have them telling us what is hip now?

Have you lot ever listened to Scott Weilands solo album "12 Bar Blues?" That album is damn solid! Possibly better than all the STP albums bar maybe Shangri La.

Haha, so I take it you agree? Even STP haters can't deny how varied 12 Bar Blues is. Do you have a favorite song off of it Mr Dave?

What Shangri La is probably their worst album, its pretty dire.

You think? I very much enjoy the softer more experimental edge that album had. Song for song, it's stronger than Tiny Music imo. I mean come on, it's hard to beat Bipolar Bear and the opener Dumb Love is one of the best rockers STP has. (oh, Coma is great too.) Also, "Hello Its Late" and "A Song For Sleeping" are some very solid softer songs.

Agreed, there was definitely more variety and substance to Weiland's side project than the DeLeo brothers' attempt. I haven't heard 12 Bar Blues in over a decade now so I can't name a specific tune but I do remember liking it WAY better than Talk Show.
