Iron Maiden: Do they still have it? Fav Songs?

OK OK. Iron Maiden have been around for a hell of along time, which is an achievement in itself! But they have also had alot of very good songs.

I just wanted to know if ppl still think they have what they had when they started out. Are they still as good? or better? or worse?

And also what are ur fav Iron Maiden songs?

I personally do think they still have that X-Factor which makes them such a good band.

And my fav 5 Maiden songs are:

Number Of The Beast
Blood Brothers
2 Minutes to midnight
Run To The hills
Sign Of The Cross

altho i love more or less ll thieir songs.

Thanx

aces high! i love that song. run to the hills is also awsome as is for whom the bell tolls. but i also like fear of the dark. awsome band. these three bands we've been discussing (metallica and megadeath), along with david bowie, i would say were the three most influential metal bands of the eithies by a long bloody shot. i cant figure out who was THE most though. mehh

SikThInDaHead 07-07-2004 01:54 AM

Cant stand them.Cheeeese!!!

covle 07-07-2004 01:58 AM

Just cant get passed Bruce's opera style vox. They really irritate me.

cant see it from a humorous point of view? i enjoy them because for a death metal group...their music is very upbeat, the singing is just funny and the inage is no more than makeup

SikThInDaHead 07-07-2004 09:21 AM

Death Metal???

covle 07-07-2004 09:53 AM

SikThInDaHead 07-07-2004 12:51 PM

I reckon they are still going strong, A Matter of Life and Death was pretty good I thought.

Their best tracks? Wow that would take a while. All the obvious ones Aces High, Run to the Hills, The Trooper, Phantom of the Opera etc are awesome. Of the less celebrated tracks you can't go past songs like Tailgunner, The Prisoner, Sun and Steel, The Clansman, Deja Vu, The Clairvoyant, Judas be my Guide and The Legacy.

Gotta love the old school songs. Bruce still has a great voice but I've since moved on to other music.
