Mondo Generator (metal, punk, album, track, performances)

Mondo Generator everyone. A fairly low status band that was intended only to be a side project of former Kyuss bassist Nick Oliveri, but has since made 3 commercial releases, and had developed a full time line-up. Though a fairly underground band, these guys have a pretty good following and any work of theres is highly prized, especially live performances.

Musicians of this band have included Brant Bjork, Mark Lanegan, Josh Homme, Dave Catching, Molly McGuire and various others. There style is known as Punk-Metal, and the music isn't all that clean. Good.

They haven't released anything since '04, so I wonder if they've pulled the plug for now?

Anyway, heres the first track off their first album, Cocaine Rodeo.

Mondo Generator is a pretty decent band, Nick Oliveri is a funny guy.

I only have Cocaine Rodeo, and it's been ages since I've listened to them, I might try hunting out some of their other stuff again.

I have A Drug Problem That Never Existed, it's not bad. I kind of like to think of it as a metal-infused mix of The Dwarves and Annihilation Time.
