best power ballad
if i spell somthing wrong ignore it please, in your opinion what would you call the best power ballad, to me it is Send Me An Angel, by The Scorpions, dont know how many of you can agree with me on this but, i find if you listen to nothing but metal you act hyper and agressive to much, sometimes you need to just slow down, if not then dont come on here and start complaning that you dont like that music.

here are the lyrics to it,
The wise man said just walk this way To the dawn of the light The wind will blow into your face As the years pass you by Hear this voice from deep inside Its the call of your heart Close your eyes and your will find The passage out of the dark Here I am Will you send me an angel Here I am In the land of the morning star The wise man said just find your place In the eye of the storm Seek the roses along the way Just beware of the thorns Here I am Will you send me an angel Here I am In the land of the morning star The wise man said just raise your hand And reach out for the spell Find the door to the promised land Just believe in yourself Hear this voice from deep inside Its the call of your heart Close your eyes and your will find The way out of the dark Here I am Will you send me an angel Here I am In the land of the morning star Here I am Will you send me an angel Here I am In the land of the morning star |
Megadeth - In My Darkest Hour
Metallica - Fade To Black |
fade to black, awsome, never listen to the other one though
I'd say that I agree with ZepplinAir. "Send Me An Angel" is a great ballad. I like the Scorpions, but what about Motley Crue's "Without You" ?Wouuld you consider that a candidate?
damn your right that is a good one, what about glitter, that one is even better
guess no one likes ballads

You never heard "In My Darkest Hour" by Megadeth? You just don't know what you are missing. (You should make a point to hear it...it is highly recommended!) |

yes they're ballads...and they're bad because its like cheese X1000000
DF needs to keep their lyrics strictly to quests and drag slaying |
never heard DF but they sound pretty good
I also thought of Guns N Roses, "November Rain" .

How about "Poison" by Alice Cooper?
I Remember You by Skid Row, that one is one of the best

Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad
Dokken had a lot of different good power ballads, but The Scorpions were one of the best in my opinion.
Dunno if it`s strictly a power ballad, but "Layla" by Clapton is still brilliant after all these years.
From Def Leppard I prefer Hysteria or Two Steps Behind. I like all of them though :)
"Hysteria" for me. Someone mentioned "November Rain," which is a great song, but it's probably too long to classify as a "power ballad." "When It's Love," by Van Halen, is a darn good song, too.
