Solo or Sabbath

in my view ozzy wasnt nearly as good when he was the singer for sabbath, he was much better solo artist, but why do people think he is no good as a solo artist

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-08-2006 05:14 PM

Sabbath - 5 good albums
Solo - 1.5 good albums

says it all really

Stone Magnet 06-08-2006 05:31 PM

Most of Ozzy's solo albums are great, and most of Ozzy's albums with Sabbath are great. They're pretty even, in my opinion.

ZeppelinAir, the reason some people think that Ozzy's solo career was no good is because those people suffer from Mental Retardation. :)

ZeppelinAir 06-08-2006 05:32 PM

i agree, totaly

Reznorslave 06-08-2006 05:33 PM

Both are equally good in my opinion. Ozzy's work with Sabbath will always outshine his solo work because of the influential nature of early Black Sabbath.

Juggalo4life88 06-08-2006 05:37 PM

I'd say solo, but then again, He was good in Black Sabbath.

ZeppelinAir 06-08-2006 05:38 PM

a few of his sabbath songs were good, like war pigs, but i still say solo was his better

swim 06-08-2006 05:40 PM

I always like vocalist on their first couple of albums rather than when they mature. So I'm kind of biased but I say Sabbath.

White Lies 06-08-2006 06:16 PM

Sabbath easy. Ozzy's solo stuff sucks.

mosesandtherubberducky 06-08-2006 06:35 PM

Sabbath had the right kind of grind to it. His solo sucked after Randy died.

Nope, 6, everything from their debut to Sabotage. :)

Technical Ecstasy is when they started going downhill, i'd say.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-08-2006 08:37 PM

I`m not that keen on their debut.

I only really like NIB & Behind The Wall Of Sleep from it

jr. 06-08-2006 08:39 PM

I like more of his solo stuff than his work with Sabbath.

Ozzy was smart. He always hired gunslingers to play guitar.

stakeraiser 06-09-2006 10:21 AM

his solo stuff other than a few early album is quite terrible, sabbath all the way

coffeeshop 06-09-2006 01:55 PM

Sabbath, so many classic songs. Electric Funeral, Children of Grave and Killing Yourself to Live I could go on.

my brother 777 06-09-2006 09:33 PM

solo was way better

ozzy solo was way better then sabbeth only because when sabbeth came around they are a bunch of posers and ozzy made them good, but even then they still suck and ozzy solo was way better when his first guitarist was around i think his last name was ronalds or something but that was when he was really good :jailed:

What the hell?

That's worth sigging.

Defenitly Sabbath.

cardboard adolescent 06-10-2006 12:39 PM

Master of Reality is easily in my Top 20 favorite albums of all time... I don't think I can say the same for any Ozzy album. Iommi's sludgy, bludgeoning riffs were what made Sabbath great for me.

Seltzer 06-10-2006 08:30 PM

I agree with Sabbath, but I think many of you Sabbath fans should go further and check out some doom metal like Candlemass (some of you probably have).

PostPsychosis666 06-10-2006 09:12 PM

^great recommendations, Candlemass does ****ing rock.

andkev 06-10-2006 10:04 PM

ozzy" first two great #3 BATM ok jake lee #4 U.S, sucked, then zack wylde,ok albums the point is he can find great or really good guitarist.

andkev 06-10-2006 10:05 PM

ronnie james was also great with sabbath

PostPsychosis666 06-10-2006 10:17 PM

You liked the Dio sabbath Albums???

I actually like Dio, Holy Diver was a amazing cd, but Dio blew when he was in sabbath.

my brother 777 06-11-2006 11:02 AM

I know more about ozzy solo then sabbeth, I just miss his old playings.
