Colors was the best album that I bought in 2008. Funny thing is, I bought Emmure's newest CD and Colors at the same time, I listened to BTBAM way more. Prequel To The Sequel was epic.

The first BTBAM album I got was The Silent Circus. A few great songs on there, mainly "Mordecai"... of course. That seems to be the ol' staple for most fans. But a lot of the really soft stuff got on my nerves with a quickness. But when Alaska came out, I got it anyway, and it turned me into a big fan of those guys. And I picked up The Anatomy Of... the next summer. Their cover of "Blackened" by Metallica breathed new life into. And their covers of "Three of a Perfect Pair" and "Malpractice" renewed my interests in Kind Crimson and Faith no More. Not to mention "Bicycle Race" never sounded bad ass by any means until I heard BTBAM's version. Between the Buried and Me are one of those bands that their past couple albums were strong and fresh enough to keep you interested in them until the next came out. Colors lived up to every expectation and bypassed any scrutiny that I had for versus Alaska.

I just saw them last night in Nashville on the first date of the Great Misdirect Tour, and holy fuck it was intense.

the setlist was:
Obfuscation
Disease, Injury, Madness
More of Myself to Kill
Alaska
Ants of the Sky
Swim to the Moon
encore: Viridian + White Walls

I got kneed in the stomach during DIM, it was the most awesome knee to the stomach I've ever had.

Yes, it 'tis. I'm not quite as into it as I was into Colors. I just don't think it has as much flow. The songs are excellently crafted, though.

Colours was for sure a better album, but I really like the kinda western feel thrown in in a lot of the new tracks

Listened to their EP which came out last year. It got me into them but I'm really loving Colors right now. White Walls is my favourite.
