biography
Quote:

Analysis of Bison Kills were formed in 2001 under the moniker Tear Gas and Plate Glass. Inspired by bands such as Isis, Godflesh, Burning Witch, Goatsnake, and Iron Monkey amongst others the band released two critically lauded demos. Capturing the weight and oppression of modern doom whilst retaining a melodic and epic based song structure the band shone through as truly unique and a great UK talent. Rooted in doom and sludge but sounding fresh, raw and uncompromising the band realized that using a drum machine just wasn't good enough anymore for what they wanted to do. Typically left-field the band employed the services of an old friend who had never played doom before, more familiar to drumming in jazz bands or the odd session with death/black metal groups. He moved the band's sound into a whole new context - making the music even more complex, interesting and dynamic. Late 2005 it came to the attention of the members that their name was already taken by a signed band. They renamed themselves Analysis of Bison Kills.

They're not bad, judging from those clips. I don't see how anyone might think they sound anything like Om though.
