What is the loudest show you have seen?

I had a look around and there does not seem to be a thread about this.

Ok for me there are two that stand out. First was Metalica at Maple Leaf Gardens on the "And Justice for All" tour. My head was ringing when I woke up the next day. They played three hours straight at break neck speed.
No wonder they slowed things down on the next couple albums.
Second was "Living Colour" in a small club called "The Diamond" Vernon Reid almost ripped my face off.

Ok let's hear em!!

I don't like it too loud as well. Never understood why shows needed to be so loud. You can't really hear what is going on in the show and you ears are shot after a few minuites. I always wear earplugs.

Metallica_rox 09-07-2006 09:55 AM

no specific band, but download 04 was pretty loud

I remember that tour. I saw Metallica and The Cult on Justice Tour in 89 and
Metallica was extremely loud. Lars double kick drums went through you, you could feel it against your face....it was remains one of the best shows I've ever seen.

A Perfect Circle and Shinedown.
Although A perfect Circle weren't too loud. But the crowd sure as hell was.
And Otep as well. They can get pretty loud sometimes.

Might want to try earplugs or at least stuff kleenex in the ears. That sounds a bit loud.

MoonlitSunshine 09-08-2006 11:15 AM

Yeah, I haven't been to one in a while, but I'm defo bringing earplugs next time...

Less than Jake - You don't need to mic your horns in a 300 person room

Strung Out/Snapcase @ Kool Haus - Insane, I went to a restaurant after and the waiter thought I was pissed off at him because I was yelling, my ears rang for three days

sleepy jack 09-19-2006 10:02 PM

Any show i've been to at the Key Arena.
WAY too much noise and way too much echo.
Its horrid.
I've like, decided to quit going there.
I may go see death cab and jenny lewis though.

Yeah I have never figured out why people do that. I bet the drums were miced up as well.

DontRunMeOver 09-21-2006 06:39 AM

A band called 'The Lucky Bishops' who played in a 100 person capacity room in a club in Weymouth. They played ****ty guitar pop but were so loud that EVERYBODY had to go into the other room. There was nobody left watching the band. It was still deafening in there.
