Kamelot- The Black Halo

DearJenny 11-07-2006 08:42 PM

Everyone is going to absolutely hate my choice, but it is Cradle of Filth-Babalon AD. The rise and fall of early religion. Beautiful.

Amputechture isnt a Concept album. Its the first LP from The Mars Volta that wasnt.

Soundgardener 11-08-2006 08:04 PM

I believe it is. All of the songs are based around a central theme.

Laces Out Dan! 11-08-2006 08:06 PM

Not all of the songs. There are a few songs where the titles refer to some religion. The album is not a concept.

I believe "Welcome to my Nightmare" is on of the best concept albums ever. I saw him live and he did his whole show, including the guilotine and everything and it was AMAZING.

Urban Hat€monger ? 11-09-2006 11:58 AM

The Pretty Things - SF Sorrow

Generally considered to be the first ever rock concept album , even pre dating Tommy.

But the album is about the degeneration of religion and things of that nature.....

Urban Hat€monger ? 11-10-2006 10:49 AM

I like bands that have concepts running through a series of albums rather than every song being about the same thing,

Someone mentioned Alice Coopers Welcome To My Nightmare , the same concept also runs through his Dada & Last Temptation album.

I think the Cure did it best with Pornography / Disintegration & Bloodflowers
