i listened to them a few years back and was very unimpressed. i wasnt as in to doom and stoner then though.. maybe i should give them another listen sometime.

If this is the Down I think it is, it's one of the side projects Phil Anselmo was in while he was in Pantera.

I haven't heard them. As for guitar lines I know it can't get better than Pantera =P.

But yeah, Down have some pretty cool riffs. They're kind of Pantera-esque, I guess - just a lot more...stoned.

Mhm. He was working with Down and Super-joint Ritual the entire time he was away from Pantera, supposedly "recovering from back problems."
