Looking for new bands (rock, title, quote, artists, Johnson)

Tubby Pirate · 03-15-2007, 01:37 PM

Hey guys, I'm new here and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for new music I could pick up from bands that have a meaty southern rock crunch, raspy/screaming vocals comperable to Clutch, Five Horse Johnson, The Highgears, Maylene, Every Time I Die, Etc. Let me know, thanks.

I'll suggest the same thing I did to someone else on here. Go to Yahoo Music, and type in one of your bands, then click on similar artists, if you do that with all of those bands, you will probably have a good list of stuff you haven't heard.

Truck Fighters
Cathedral
Spiritual Beggars
Buzzov-en
Monster Magnet
Witch
Dixie Witch
Crowbar
Goatsnake

Negative Reaction and Bongzilla probably fit into your raspy-vocal-crunchy-munchy criteria too.

Sixty Watt Shaman
Amongst The Apes
Iron Monkey

I like the self-titled they have. Don't know much else by them
