Pig Destroyer are alright, but fairly boring in spots.

If you want to listen to some good grindcore listen to some Impetigo or Gruesome Stuff Relish.

95% of grindcore is b-o-r-i-n-g

I am checking them out. I agree, but grindcore can be awesome as well. Some of it gets really repetitive and sounds the same from different bands but nevertheless its nice to hear blast beats galore in every song you listen to haha. Tower of Rome's songs on their first album have the same structure in at least 6 out of 10. Same with Pig Destroyer, their songs sound a lot a like to me, but I dont care because theyre brutal haha.

personally, i like waking the cadaver and dr acula. dr acula is one of the best grindcore bands in my opinion. xD

I really can't stand much grindcore outside of Magrudegrind.

Real grindcore can (almost) never be boring, it's just pure intensity & energy!
Pig Destroyer used to be amazing until they went in a more metal direction with Terrifyer.
has anyone heard of the UK band Narcosis?
no one has mentioned a few classic bands, is that 'cos they're too obvious or i'm too old?? i'm gonna mention 'em cos i'm in a typing mood tonight:
napalm death, brutal truth, terrorizer, agoraphobic nosebleed, benumb, enemy soil....

You need to stop perusing scene kids myspace pages to find out about "grindcore"

Listen to Nasum, early Carcass, Cyness, Impetigo, Pig Destroyer, Discordance Axis (all though it tends more towards the power-violence side of things).


Basically just listen to Nasum.

Gruesome Stuff Relish still win at grindcore. They've got that heavy low end chunk like Impetigo but are a bit more modernized. I know I'm on about those bands all the time but they're pretty much two of the best things in all of music history.

YEA BOI! Combatwoundedveteran is sweet. I really cant get enough of The Sawtooth Grin either.

I dont know if anyone would consider me and him call it us grind but Im all over their nuts too
