I listened to the remaster, and I love it! But the "original" Peace Sells will always be one of their best and will always rule. Always. It's just amazing.

New megadeth

Anybody fired up about it? I'm a long time fan and cant wait for it. Although I am getting pretty tired of all the lineup changes with the members. I wish Marty Friedman would come back.

The RIP remasters is terible. It ruins song like Take No Prisoners and Five Magics. IMO Dave Mustaine is the epitome of thrash. Megadeth were easily the most creative of the Big Four and Mustaine's ideas are gave Metallica their first 3-4 albums. After Master of Puppets, they just plummeted. You can't really knock his vocals that much. Not only does he mix it up, he looked for a vocalist, but couldn't fins one so he did it himself. That's why he's MegaDave.
KimB-RiP are must haves for any thrash fan.

I have Peace Sells and Rust in Peace, both great albums. Megadeth is one of my biggest influences

and ZaborgZaloog, i wholeheartedly agree with them being the most creative in the thrash movement, most other bands at that time seemed stagnant compared to Megadeth

Best like metal band ever!

Rust In Peace is like the best album I've ever heard, start to finish filled with awesome thrashing and solos.

Tornado of Souls is the all-time greatest solo ever written!

Well, under Crazy Train lol.

Kinda pissed that Slayer/Megadeth is only going to Western Canada.

i dg megadeth as much as anybody, but all the coolest riffs were played by marty friedman.

as for judas priest, they are the most awesome metal band that will ever exist. but they were actually the glenn tipton/kk downing band. they told everyone else how it was gonna be, the whole time. even rob.

yeah, it's not uncommon for one or two people in a band to control everything.
