Exactly what I was thinking. You can tell they aren't just a typical "supergroup", but rather they are musicians who are passionate about their collaberative work. Claypool and Anastacio are a match made in heaven...

You take 4 amazing musicians like the ones in chickenfoot, and it turns out to be a boring band.
You take the seemingly mediocre musicians from Rx Bandits, the awful singer from Chiodos, and Anthony Green and you get the amazing Sound of Animals Fighting.

The hell.
I just watched an interview with Chickenfoot, thought of getting them some songs ...
so i shouldn't bother ? cz i hate being disappointed by some great looking band.

Oysterhead was a good idea left un-pursued ... the album is good but they're a young band, no matter who they are, and they needed more albums and tours and so forth to find their voice ... the live tapes of them that I heard were terrible ... and also that's right around the time (for me) that Trey's songwriting began to really seriously slip like a lot ... but 1) I would love to hear what that group would do if they spent some more time together and 2) the Oysterhead anomaly is largely responsible (with Skerik) for getting Les into the bag he's in now, which I see as largely being a force for good

there's a link to their lead single 2 pages back. they're also about as complicated to find on youtube as finding sand on a beach.

I just wish they would release something worthy of their legendary status, like, say, another album of the same quality as Californication, that would do it in my opinion...

Well, yeah, those too... I guess I was going for the nearest good album, and setting them a realistic task.... :-)
