Undoubtedly generic, that's unquestionable, but highly listenable and enjoyable all the same. Least it was the last time I heard it.

I listen to it from time to time but I find it to be a solid record.

Ahh, the good ol' days before Green Day became a punky-pop/rock-U2-wannabe band. I'm not even a big Green Day fan, but I'll give props when they are due, great album.

Dookie was my second rock album that I ever got and I had it on cassette.

I haven't listened to it in ages but I remember it being great. After that it was a slow decline with only a few good songs here or there on each album afterwards.

I could careless what anyone thinks but I still like Green Day to this day. I also think that American Idiot was their peak of greatness.

Oh thank Christ, I was beginning to feel very lonely...I actually listened to Dookie a few months back and concluded that it had far less memorable songs than American Idiot...

Both of these albums have there place:

Dookie: Released in the 90's when hip-hop and Grunge were basically dominating the media, Dookie was angsty and memorable enough to re-introduce people to rock music

American Idiot: I think we all need to remember that American Idiot was not instantly likeable, adored by critics and mostly ignored by the buying public it all and all took about a year to catch on. People were fed up with government and politics and somehow the album became socially relevant.

I am one of the few people that refuses to give Green Day shit for saying all the right things at the right times and being fortunate enough to catch lightning in a bottle twice. I seriously hope that their next album sells a zillion copies so that I can enjoy many more years of hearing all of the whiners whine. I'll throw this out there for all of you to discuss: "Green Day is the catchiest Pop-Punk band since the Ramones"

This is what I'll say about Greenday. I loved Dookie. I don't think they've gone to total chite, but songs like "I Walk Alone" and "When September Ends" don't even sound like Green Day to me, just insipid over-produced banal alt-rock.

I actually really liked american idiot when it came out...but i saw them perform on American Idol, and after that, i have hated them GReatlt....all though ill say its great that they are all socially consience (sp?) now...i just think theyve sold out way too much...they dont sound anything like they didi before
