Default best female rock vocalist?

Im gonna go for Stevie Nicks, but I had a huge debate with my mother over this.. I honestly think Stevie Nicks is the best, what about you guys?

Annie Lennox, Patty Smyth, Bonnie Raitt, Sade, and Anita Baker are the first ones that come to mind that I like personally whatever genre.

hmm to me she is awesome ~ so much soul... not many female singers evoke such emotion for me ... IMO not overrated at all. If anything under-rated in terms of exposure to younger generations...

but am a fan of blondie too
