Some good 60's/70's/80's rock/metal bands?
I have ~2400 songs on my iTunes library, and I am looking to find some good bands that I might not have heard of. To make it easier on you, here are the bands that are already in my library:
AC/DC Accept Aerosmith Alice Cooper The Beatles Black Sabbath Bon Jovi Chuck Berry Creedence Clearwater Revival Deep Purple Def Leppard Dio Elf Guns N' Roses Iron Maiden Jackyl Jimi Hendrix Judas Priest Kiss Led Zeppelin Megadeth Metallica Mick Jagger Motley Crue Nightwish Ozzy Osbourne Pink Floyd Queen Queens Of The Stone Age Quiet Riot Rainbow Rammstein Rob Zombie The Rolling Stones Scorpions Skid Row Slayer Steppenwolf Stevie Ray Vaughan Twisted Sister Van Halen (NOT Van Hagar) White Zombie Whitesnake Zz Top Those are the bands I currently have. If you want, you can suggest cd's I should get from the above bands, and I will tell you if I already have them or not. But if you think of a band that I should check out, please post the name and a suggestion of one of their cd's to listen to. Thanks  |

A good share of the metal sub genres got their start in the 70's and 80's, more in the 80's. I don't see Motorhead on your list, look for Ace of Spades or Orgasmatron. |

But thanks, I will go get some Motorhead. |

If you end up liking Motorhead, Check out Girlschool. |
VH was definitely better with Roth, no arguing there.
Thanks for the tip, I will check back on this thread tomorrow since I have to go to go bed now. |

I endorse Queensryche, add in Rush, Triumph, Lynard Skynard, Thin Lizzie and the Doors. More when my brain starts working again.
